Description
1965 Stetson Company promotional black-and-white photograph of The Plantation hat and corresponding hat box, presented in celebration of the company's 100th anniversary. A sign with the display reads: The Plantation / created by John B. Stetson Company, Philadelphia, USA / This planter's style is a shape popular in the southern plantation regions of the United States. The hand sewn Hawaiian lei band, designed especially for this hat, was artfully fashioned from selected pheasant feathers to give unrivaled elegance. The bird ornamentis of 14Kgold, fashioned with diamond and ruby mountings. The luxurious Peugalin leather carrying case bears a sterling silver plaque hand engraved with the world renowned Stetson Beaver and Eagle crest.
