Description
Silk quilt made by employees of the Stetson Company and given to Mr. John B. Stetson on his 50th birthday on May 5, 1880. The patchwork quilt has varying shades of red, white, and blue silk with a red taffeta backing. A letter dated February 26, 1980 from David H. Harshaw of the John B. Stetson Company verifies the authenticity of the quilt.
